Running Volunteer
Running with my Primary Run school is my favourite part of the week. My favourite moments are when the kids’ are beaming with pride, as they have completed the circuit without stopping for the first time. I also run to the school and back, which means I get a good long run at least once a week.
To volunteer at a Primary Run school you need to:
- Be available for 20 minutes a week to help with a Primary Run.
- Commit to volunteering for at least one school, term (12 weeks).
- Organise a DBS check for yourself. Your Primary Run school will pay for the check.
- Be happy to liaise directly with the contact at the school who runs their Primary Run.
- Please note: unfortunately we cannot cover expenses for our volunteers.
How Primary Run support you:
- We guide you through your DBS check
- Someone from the Primary School will be with you throughout the sessions.
- We provide a Primary Run app which records who attends each week, with their times, allowing Primary Run kids to earn rewards the more they run.
